I have found David and his team at Bolts Garage to be honest to a fault, and willing to prioritize my specific needs and budget. They aren't perfect, but I've not had a single re-do in 5 years and they take responsibility for all of their work. They don't try to up-sell me on things that aren't urgent or unnecessary, but give me great advice on what to watch out for and how to stack up multiple maintenance jobs to keep costs down. Having owned BMW's for 34 years and done a lot of major/minor repairs and maintenance myself, I have to say Bolts is the best BMW Indy I've every used. They are so good that these days I often send my car to them rather than do the work myself.

I hate bringing my cars into the shop. Absolutely hate it. Despite knowing how to do the job, I just don't have the space to tackle some things myself. When the clutch in my '07 BMW 530 grenaded on me, I called around for estimates. The dealership, of course, quoted way too high. Another shop in the area sounded unsure of themselves on the phone (at first told me my car doesn't come with a manual transmission?).

I sent an email off to Bolts Garage detailing my situation and shortly after, I was called with a quote and my car was on the flat-bed to the garage.

Unfortunately, this happened at a time when the shop was swamped so the car wouldn't be ready for a few days. No biggie! I was updated along the way, and got a call back with some recommended services (transfer case fluid flush, gear oil, etc.)

When I got the car back, David took his time to show me the broken parts and walk me through what else he recommended on the car. The original quote was exactly what I was charged, which was very reasonable based on research I did.

Thanks so much for a great job. I'll definitely be back for any issues that might come up!

I have driven BMWs exclusively for the past 25 yrs. After yrs of frustration w/ the over-priced, mediocre service department at a certain well-known BMW dealer, I searched for independent shops and finally found Bolts Garage.

I've dealt with dealer service departments, independent mechanics and performance tuning shops in 5 states -- David and the Bolts Garage team are consistently the most trustworthy, competent and friendly team I've ever known. I trust NO ONE ELSE to maintain my cars and drove out from the city for years to this shop before moving close by.

They take the time to properly diagnose even the most obscure issues and deliver high-quality affordable repairs using only OEM or performance upgrade parts. Your car will be fixed correctly the first time and David will develop a long-term service plan for your car(s) to help you predict and budget for upcoming issues.

Their business is quite brisk so getting an appointment isn't always easy but the quality of service makes it consistently worth the wait.

Honest! I have been to many garages over the years and it is so great to be able to trust a garage like Bolts Garage. I could go on an on about the work and the great pricing but I think the first word says it all.

I set up an appointment to get my car diagnosed. I drop my car off on a Monday and I called a few days later. still wasn't diagnosed. Call the next Monday and still not done. I call a tow truck to pick it up and the guy calls me and asks me to pay him when my car was still not diagnosed. Extremely Unprofessional.

Hi, just wanted to clarify slightly on this review.

Customer stated car was over heating and he had an aftermarket warranty that needed "proof" that the electric water pump or thermostat was faulty. When vehicle was dropped off, all faults code in the computer were already previously cleared.

We road tested the car multiple times, left the car running for a couple of hours each day. We never duplicated the over heating or set any fault codes. The Proof that he needed would have been DME fault codes or the car actually over heating. How can I fix something that isn't broken or is sporadically faulty? After spending approximately 1-2 hours over the week, am I not in-titled to some compensation? By the way, he did not pay his bill.

Yes, I am almost positive that it needed the pump or t-stat and would have gladly fixed it in a matter of hours.

BUT, I needed "proof" that they were bad first.

I hope everything turned out okay and it was fixed under his contract. It would have been a lot easier if the codes were never cleared before it got to my shop.

Great BMW technician. I'm extremely particular who services my BMW and I always take my X5 to the dealer for service, but this time around I wanted and found much better service for it. My repair list was extensive and detailed. Every item was addressed. If you are in the area, go to Bolts Garage. You won't be disappointed
